Copper Mining
In2Metals Explorer has signed an exploration concession agreement with the Ministry of Geology of Uzbekistan to develop the North Bukantau, a copper-Mo-gold project in the Navoi region. In2Metals will carry out the exploration activities through a Uzbek JV with local partners where In2Metals holds a majority stake and will be in charge of the operational management. Uzbekistan is one of the most attractive jurisdictions in the mining sector with a huge locked potential in precious and base metals alike. Uzbekistan is a significant producer of precious and base metals, and hosts the second-largest gold-producing mine Muruntau, also located in the Navoi region.
This exploration concession agreement was signed during the Annual Tashkent International Investment Forum, and represents the culmination of a joint effort between the Ministry of Geology of Uzbekistan and In2Metals. This investment is part of In2Metals’ strategy to expand in Central Asia.
